The Albany native rapper with southern roots is marking his territory in the rap game with powerful lyrics, a diverse flow, and confidence that is undeniable.  From being Eddie award nominated as best HipHop artist in his city, to creating opportunities for the youth Ohzhe stands true to his goal, to inspire the world and push forward the culture.

Having begun as a passion project for John Glenn (Stellar Young), after losing his father and becoming a new father within the same year, the emotive act draws us into an expansive yet cohesive sonic musical world. Reminiscent of artists such as CHVRCHES, Sylvan Esso, Bon Iver, Imogen Heap, and with a dose of personable messages, LiketheAstronaut’s debut unveils the dichotomy of life within alluring and catchy melodies.

Viewing his art as self-expression as well as developing characters for stories, he describes his process for creating as much about telling stories and sharing inspiration. Cam can come off as “in your face,” he mused, as much as hopeful and optimistic. “My music is my artistic expression. The person I aim to be in the world is someone who is kind, generous, productive, organized, intelligent, helpful, and loving,” he shared.

Ricky Bandana embarked on his musical odyssey a decade ago, setting the stage for a career that would be nothing short of extraordinary. His journey took flight with a remix of Jay-Z’s “Im Ill” beat, and it was evident from the start that he was destined for greatness.
